Physical activity is increasing mobility of bowel, thus shortening the transit time of its contents, changes the level of prostaglandins and metabolism of bile acids, may also strengthen our immune system and influence insulin levels, thus lowering the risk of colorectal cancer. Regular physical activity is protective also for breast, uterine corpus and prostate cancer. It is regular physical activity that is important for healthy life style. Scientists recommend that for a maximum health benefits, we should aim for at least 30 minutes or more of activity three- to four times per week.
