Body weight

Overweight and obesity increase the risk of cancer of colon, kidney, uterine corpus, breast in females after menopause, lower part of esophagus and gallbladder. Overweight and obesity are defined in terms of BMI (body mass index), which is the ratio of body weight (in kg) and height (in m) and is expressed in kg/m2. BMI between 25.0 and 29.9 kg/m2 means being overweight, while BMI 30.0 kg/m2 and more means obesity. Obesity can best be avoided by proper diet low in energy and with adequate physical activity.
